to 55racing.comLatest News: New season starting March 2009 The team has spent the winter preparing for the new season with the purchase of Daz Lewis's 285 race car which has undergone a serious custom paint job courtesy of P.J.Bates, Tyseley with graphics by SignFX, Northampton. As well as working on the car, the team have also been fitting out the transporter. Take a look at the images in the gallery to see what we've been up to and check out the events page to see when you can catch the 55racing team in action. Legends Background Legends cars are based on pre-war Fords, Chevrolets and Dodges. They are powered by Yamaha motorcycle engines in 5/8 scale body shells and were designed to promote exciting but inexpensive racing. The car specifications are very tight to ensure drivers race a standard vehicle and are purely reliant upon racing skill to win through.
