55racing Team Profiles Andy Hartwell  "I got involved in racing at 17, helping a
couple of friends prepare bangers. Our activities resulted in the
Taskforce Banger Team and, during this time, I occasionally got a seat myself in
Austin 3 litres, Cambridges and Wolseley 1500's.We moved on from bangers and started stock rod racing for a short period. I then moved on to karting, racing in the 100cc Britain class. After a period of time away from racing, I couldn't get rid of the racing bug and began "rebel" racing. I started my own business in 2005 and found myself in a position to continue racing and so I leased a "legend" from R.C.D. This was a great learning curve for me and gave me a real buzz. I decided to purchase a car at the end of the 2008 season and I have recently purchased Daz Lewis's 285 race car. I have a great race team around me consisting of Paul, Karen, Stacey and Stuart who are invaluable in keeping the car on the track and also in making racing enjoyable which, I think, is the most important thing.
